The play-off for a place in the final of the ICC Intercontinental Shield between Namibia and Uganda begins from Saturday at Windhoek. The match will be held at the United Cricket Club and not at the traditional venue of Wanderers.

Both sides had their final training session ahead of the clash on Friday. Namibia trained at the match venue, United Cricket Club and have already finalised their playing XI at their pre-match team meeting. "We have another training session later this day (Friday). The side is calm, collected and focused," informed Namibia coach Rudolph.

The Namibian team is already clear on what it needs to do to win the match. "We need to bat first, put up a big score and then we can put pressure on them (Uganda)," opined Namibia captain Craig Williams.

Uganda on the other hand are ready for a challenge. The team are scheduled to train later on Friday at the Wanderers. The spirit in the Uganda camp is what the coach Ebrahim Mohamed is banking on. "The team is keen to make a mark. That will give us the impetus in the match," said Mohamed.

Uganda start the match at the second position on the points table with 29 points from two games, Namibia are placed third with 26 points from two games. Awaiting the winner from Windhoek is table topper United Arab Emirates for a title clash later this year.
