England captain to miss remaining India T20Is due to injury
Tammy Beaumont will continue to captain England in the remaining two T20Is against India.
Trailing 2-1 in the T20I series at home against India, England has been dealt a major blow as skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt has been ruled out of the remaining matches.
She missed the third T20I due to a left groin injury, and further scans have revealed that her recovery will take longer than expected.
The newly-appointed captain will now focus on regaining fitness in time for the ODI leg of the tour, which begins on 16 July.
In her absence, Beaumont will continue to stand in as captain, under whom England won the third T20I in nervy fashion to keep the series alive.
Nat Sciver-Brunt will miss the rest of the Vitality IT20 series against India due to the injury to her left groin she sustained in Bristol.

Maia Bouchier has been brought in as a replacement for Nat Sciver-Brunt, whose workload was already being carefully managed by the England camp heading into the series.
In the first two T20Is, where Sciver-Brunt captained the side, she did not bowl at all, a decision made by team management prior to the series to ease her workload.
Despite England suffering a heavy 97-run defeat in the opening match, her standout contribution with the bat was a major positive, as she scored an impressive 66 off 42 balls. The all-rounder picked up the injury in the second game, where she scored only 13.
In Sciver-Brunt's absence, Beaumont stepped in to lead England to victory in what was her first match as captain, coming in her 247th international appearance.
In a thrilling finish, England held off India to win by five runs and will be hoping to continue mounting their comeback in the fourth T20I on Wednesday, 9 July.
