1. Started his career as a medium pacer before switching to offspin and then eventually settling to focus on his batting.
2. Blasted a 51-ball century against Sri Lanka at the SCG in the 2015 World Cup, which was the second fastest knock in World Cup history.
3. Hit his maiden Test century against India in March 2017 when he made 104 from 184 balls.

5. ODI debut against Afghanistan at Sharjah in 2012.
6. In 2013, just six months after his international debut, he earned a million-dollar contract from Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians.
7. He was also a member of the winning ICC CWC 2015 team, memorably scoring his maiden ODI century against Sri Lanka at the SCG.
8. In September 2016, Maxwell slammed a career-best unbeaten 145 from 65 balls, including nine sixes, against Sri Lanka in a Twenty20 international in Pallekele.
