One of the greatest captains in the history of the game, Clive Lloyd guided West Indies to many of their greatest triumphs, including both the 1975 and 1979 ICC Cricket World Cup victories. He later became an ICC match referee.

Clive Lloyd was regarded as one of the most successful captains in the history of the game. Lloyd, who was named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1971, captained West Indies between 1974 and 1985 and made them one of the most dominant Test-playing nations in the history of the game. West Indies had a streak of 27 matches without defeat - including 11 wins in a row under his leadership. He was also the first West Indian cricketer to earn 100 international caps.
