Deepti Sharma rises to second in ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Rankings

Media Release

Deepti Sharma has advanced one slot to return to her career-best second place in the ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Rankings.

The off-spinner last held the position in December 2024 and is just eight rating points shy of top-ranked Sadia Iqbal of Pakistan.

Sharma took three wickets in the third T20I against England at The Oval, where the home side clinched a close, five-run win in the five-match series which India leads 2-1.

Other movements in the top 10 of the bowlers’ list include Pakistan’s Nashra Sandhu moving one slot to joint-seventh place, West Indies’ Afy Fletcher rising one place to ninth and South Africa’s Nonkululeko Mlaba also advancing one spot to number 10.

The top 10 in the ICC Women’s T20I Batting Rankings are unchanged, but India’s Jemimah Rodrigues’ innings of 63 in her team’s victory in the second T20I at Bristol helped her shift two places to 12th.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Sophie Dunkley shared a 137-run opening stand to help set up their team’s victory in the third T20I against India. Their respective innings of 66 and 75 saw Wyatt-Hodge move to 14th and Dunkley to 26th among the batters.

Other batters making progress this week include England’s stand-in captain, Tammy Beaumont (up 28 places to joint-64th), after scoring 54 in the Bristol match and Amanjot Kaur, whose unbeaten 63 helped her rise to 69th place.
