The top three of England’s batting order – Ben Duckett, Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope – have all made notable progress in the ICC Men’s Test Batting Rankings after notching centuries that set up an innings and 45 runs victory over Zimbabwe in their one-off Test at Trent Bridge.

Left-hander Ducket has advanced two places to 13th after scoring 140, his opening partner Crawley is up eight places to 33rd with a score of 124 and number three batter Ollie Pope has moved up six places to 22nd after top-scoring in the match with 171 off 166 deliveries.

Off-spinner Shoaib Bashir is another one from the winning team to gain in the latest weekly rankings update, his Player of the Match effort of three for 62 and six for 81 lifting him 14 places to a career-best 43rd position in the bowling rankings. Gus Atkinson is at a career-best-equalling 13th position after his three wickets in the match helped him inch up one slot.

There are gains for Zimbabwe players too after the first Test in 22 years between the two sides. Sean Williams has moved up three places to a career-best 16th position after scores of 25 and 88 while opener Brian Bennett has advanced 23 places to 75th after notching a century in the first innings.

In the ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings, West Indies batter Keacy Carty has progressed 20 slots to a career-best 16th position with back-to-back centuries in the last two matches of their three-ODI series in Dublin that was drawn 1-1.

Ireland opener Andrew Balbirnie’s match-winning 112 in the first match has lifted him eight places to 48th while his team-mate Lorcan Tucker is up nine places to joint-72nd.

Oman batter Jatinder Singh, who scored 100 in a thrilling match against the USA in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 match in Lauderhill, is up 11 places to joint-64th in the batting rankings while the USA’s seam bowler Saurabh Netravalkar is up four places to 22nd after taking grabbing wickets in three matches this past week.
