Gcuma and Haig named as on-field umpires for ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026 final

The Emirates ICC International Panels of Umpires and Referees have been named for the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026 final.
India booked their place by chasing down 311 to beat Afghanistan on Wednesday, while England defeated defending champions Australia by 27 runs to set up a mouthwatering final.
Lubabalo Gcuma and Shaun Haig will be the on-field umpires, and both have presided over India matches already in the tournament.
Gcuma, who hails from South Africa, was in the middle for their 18-run win against Bangladesh and the 58-run Super 6 success against Pakistan, while he also presided over England’s seven-wicket Super 6 victory against Bangladesh.
New Zealander Haig was on-field umpire for India’s semi-final win against Afghanistan but is yet to umpire England in the tournament.
Zahid Bassarath is in place as third umpire, Masudur Mukul is the fourth umpire and Graeme La Brooy is match referee.
