ICC issues two strategic research RFPs
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has issued two significant strategic research RFPs. The first is for a comprehensive international market research project, whilst the second covers broadcast research and a viewership project for ICC events 2017-19.
The market research will focus on the size and demographics of the global cricket fan base, the global participation numbers and related trends as well as attitudes, expectations, sentiments and cricket consumption patterns of fans and participants around the world.
The broadcast project will provide greater insight into the reach, audience and demographic of ICC Event viewership by way of pre, post and in tournament reporting. This will be supplemented by interim reporting on the general broadcast market, focussing on current audience trends and benchmarking of ICC Events.
ICC Chief Operating Officer Iain Higgins said: “Consumer insight is crucial to any business and plays a significant role in shaping our vision and strategy. This is the first time we have integrated all of our market research needs into a single project. This, along with the broadcast project, will not only help shape our collective decision making as we continue our focus on growing the sport but also benchmark our progress.
“The successful companies will have extensive experience in the global sports market and the reach to deliver this annual international research.”
