The ICC Women’s Cricket Week united exactly half of the ICC’s global Membership in a worldwide celebration of the women’s game, emphasizing the growing reach, impact and ambition of women’s cricket across all regions.

A total of 55 ICC Members delivered activities and shared content during the week-long initiative, which took place from 21 to 28 June. That was an increase from 44 Members in 2025, with this year’s celebrations spanning the globe from Nigeria to Norway and Peru to the Philippines.

Collectively, Members engaged more than 13,000 women and girls, highlighting the continued momentum and expanding influence of the initiative, now in its second year.

Created to provide every ICC Member with the opportunity to connect their local communities to cricket’s biggest global stage, ICC Women’s Cricket Week forms a key pillar of the ICC’s strategy to leverage the power and visibility of major women’s events to drive lasting growth in the game worldwide.

By delivering activities during the designated week, participating Members saw their stories, celebrations and community initiatives showcased across the ICC’s global broadcast and social media platforms, positioning local participation and grassroot development alongside the elite on-field action of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

The initiative, which was sanctioned by the ICC Women’s Cricket Committee and Chief Executives' Committee in April 2025, sits within the ICC’s 100% Cricket Programme, a campaign designed to grow the profile of the women’s game and support women in cricket.

During the week, 35 Members were featured live on ICC broadcast through dedicated call-outs during ICC Women’s T20 World Cup coverage, while the ICC’s #T20CreatorClub also played a significant role in amplifying celebrations and stories from around the world. More than 100 videos were created and posted across Women’s Cricket Week, resulting in over 3.2 million views.

Among Associate Members, particular emphasis was placed on community watch parties, designed to bring supporters together and raise awareness of women’s cricket, as well as participation initiatives including festivals and competitions delivered through the ICC’s criiio programme.

ICC Chief Executive Sanjog Gupta said: "The ICC Women's Cricket Week serves as a driver of global significance for our marquee events and an aperture for growth in participation and fandom across markets beyond the host and participant nations.

"The second edition of the week during the ICC Women's T20 World Cup witnessed the participation of 50+ nations from every region of the world and engaged more than 13,000 women and girls.

"Our ambition is to have each ICC women's event deliver a meaningful and lasting legacy. Women's Cricket Week has rapidly established itself as one of our most important vehicles for achieving that ambition, transforming our global tournaments from world-class sporting spectacles into powerful platforms for socio-cultural impact."
