Media Advisory – ICC World Test Championship Final (not for publication) 

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is providing written, visual, and digital media outlets assistance in their coverage of the ICC World Test Championship Final 2025 to be played between South Africa and Australia at Lord’s from 11-15 June.

The following material will be available in the Online Media Zone:

Build-up articles – Build-up articles about past events as well as this edition of the WTC will be made available starting 2 June. These pieces will also be sent out as media releases. They will include topics such as the history of the WTC, past performances, historic moments and players to look out for.

Match reports and other articles A daily match report and other reaction pieces will be provided on the OMZ and sent out as media releases.

Photographs – Photographs from special opportunities like pre-match and post-match sessions with the captains and teams will be made available in the Online Media Zone. No action photos from the match will be provided.

Please note that only the images available in downloadable format are for editorial use. The rights of other images published in the Online Media Zone, including those in media releases, may not belong to the ICC and should not be used by media outlets.

Media conference videos All pre-match and post-match media conferences will be recorded by a dedicated ICC crew and unedited versions of the videos will be provided to the media. Please note that videos may be used on websites and news channels but are not for direct use on social media platforms. The press conferences will also be live on our Social Media channels.

Transcripts – Verbatim transcripts will be provided from all post-match media conferences. These may be expected within 30 minutes of each media interaction, giving the media the chance to quote players quickly without having to transcribe long audio recordings.

Media Guide A media guide with all detail on venues, media spaces, accreditation, profiles of players and match officials and other useful detail will be provided in this digital publication which will be available in the Online Media Zone from 9 June.

Please note that all content should be used giving credit to ICC.

Note for accredited NRH media:

  • Accredited Non-Rights Holders (NRH) are allowed to film non-match day media conferences, but no filming is allowed inside the venue on match days except for any safe filming zone that may be provided at venues by the ICC.

  • Videos shot at the venue on non-match days may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.

  • Up to 10 minutes of coverage (including five minutes of continuous live) allowed on non-match days from inside the venue.

  • The ICC will upload unedited media conference clips onto the Online Media Zone. The footage, whether provided by the ICC or shot by the media themselves, may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.

  • If you intend to film non-matchday media conferences (either by camera or phone) please position yourself in the back row or behind the back row of seating so as not to disturb others.
