Media Information for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 - Saturday, 1st June

The following is the schedule of media opportunities ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 on 1 June and additional information for media.

Dallas

USA play Canada in a First Round, Group A match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 at 19h30 local time at the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas. Teams will address post-match media conferences starting around 10 minutes after the end of the match, with a member of the losing team coming in first followed by a member of the winning team. A mixed zone will also be in operation following the post-match press conferences.

Guyana

West Indies and Papua New Guinea play a First Round, Group C match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 at 10h30 local time on Sunday, 2 June at the Guyana National Stadium, Guyana.

On their pre-match day on Saturday, 1 June:

• West Indies will hold a training session at the Guyana National Stadium from 09h00 to 12h00 local time. They will hold their pre-match press conference at 12h15 local time.
• PNG will hold a training session at the Guyana National Stadium from 13h00 to 16h00 local time at the Guyana National Stadium. They will hold their pre-match press conference at 12h45 local time.

Barbados

Namibia and Oman play a First Round, Group B match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 at 20h30 local time on Sunday, 2 June at the Kensington Oval, Barbados.

On their pre-match day on Saturday, 1 June:

• Namibia will hold a training session at the Kensington Oval, Barbados from 09h00 to 12h00 local time. They will hold their pre-match press conference with captain Gerhard Erasmus at 11h45 local time.
• Oman will hold a training session at the Kensington Oval, Barbados from 13h00 to 15h00 local time. They will hold their pre-match press conference with captain Aqib Ilyas at 12h45 local time.

In addition at the Kensington Oval:

There will be a Group B captains’ combined press conference with Mitch Marsh (Australia), Jos Butler (England) & Richie Berrington (Scotland) at 12h00 followed by a photo opportunity with all five captains at the stadium at 12h30.

ADDITIONAL MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES

New York - 31 May

A projection light show featuring the 20 captains will light up the Rockefeller Center Building in New York City, commencing at 20h15 local time (sunset) on Friday 31 May. The projection show will run multiple times up until midnight. Media are free to capture this event.

New York - 1 June

ICC Ambassador Yuvraj Singh will appear at the opening of the fan park at the Oculus World Trade Center in New York City. The site will show 18 matches on 10 different dates, including the opening match on 1 June. A short ceremony will take place at the site, with Yuvraj to be made available to media at approximately 19h45 local time.

Note for NRH media:

Accredited Non-Rights Holders are allowed to film pre-match day press conferences, but no filming is allowed inside the venues on match days except for any safe filming zone that may be provided at venues.

Videos shot at venues on pre-match days may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.

The ICC will upload unedited media conference clips onto the Online Media Zone. The footage, whether provided by the ICC or shot by the media themselves, may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.

If you intend to film non-matchday press conferences (either by camera or phone) please position yourself in the back row or behind the back row of seating.

Non-Rights Holder camerapersons will not be granted match day accreditation.

No filming is allowed in the Mixed Zone for any NRH media.

Note for photographers:

• Photographers are expected to wear their bibs at all times and are only permitted in designated areas.
• On pre-match days photographers need to shoot from the areas identified by the Venue Media Operations Manager.
• On match-days, photographers need to arrive for a pre-match meeting one hour in advance of the toss, when they will be assigned photo positions by the Venue Media Operations Manager
• NRH photographers will not be allowed at press conferences.

Media Centre entry and timings: On match days, the media areas will open two hours before the start of play and remain open till 2 ½ hours after close of play.

Media accreditation cards needs to be collected in person and one will need to show the identity document uploaded at the time of applying for accreditation to collect the card. Your accreditation pass will give you access to all matches you have been approved for, so please retain it for the duration of the tournament.

Warm-up matches and training sessions: Media wanting to attend the warm-up fixtures will need to show their photo ID as well as their accreditation confirmation e-mail to gain entry if not in possession of accreditation cards.
