The following is the schedule of media opportunities at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 on Monday, 7 October:

Sharjah

  • England play South Africa in a Group B match starting 18h00 local time on Monday, 7 October at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Teams will address post-match media conferences starting around 10 minutes after the end of the match, with a member of the losing team generally coming in first followed by a member of the winning team.

Dubai

Australia play New Zealand in a Group A match starting 18h00 local time on Tuesday, 8 October at the Dubai International Stadium.

On their pre-match day on Monday:

  • Australia will hold a training session at the ICC Academy 2 Ground from 17h00 to 20h00 local time. They held their pre-match press conferences at the conclusion of their last match and the embargoed video and transcript will be available in the Online Media Zone at 17h00 local time.
  • New Zealand will hold a training session at the ICC Academy 2 Ground from 19h00 to 21h00 local time. They will hold their pre-match press conference beforehand at the Media Conference Room, ICC Headquarters, at 18h45 local time.

Accredited Non-Rights Holders are allowed to film pre-match day press conferences, but no filming is allowed inside the venues on match days except for any safe filming zone that may be provided at venues.

Videos shot at venues on pre-match days may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.

The ICC will upload unedited media conference clips onto the Online Media Zone. The footage, whether provided by the ICC or shot by the media themselves, may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.

If you intend to film non-matchday press conferences (either by camera or phone) please position yourself in the back row or behind the back row of seating.

Non-Rights Holder camerapersons will not be granted match day accreditation.

Note for photographers:

  • Photographers are expected to wear their bibs at all times and are only permitted in designated areas.
  • On pre-match days photographers need to shoot from the areas identified by the Venue Media Operations Manager.
  • On match-days, photographers need to arrive for a pre-match meeting one hour in advance of the toss, when they will be assigned photo positions
  • NRH photographers will not be allowed at press conferences.
  • NRH TV camerapersons will not get match-day accreditation.

Media Centre entry and timings: On match days, the media areas will open two hours before the start of play and remain open till 2 ½ hours after close of play.

Media accreditation cards need to be collected in person, and one will need to show the identity document uploaded at the time of applying for accreditation to collect the card. Accreditation cards

Your accreditation pass will give you access to all matches you have been approved for, so please retain it for the duration of the tournament.

Media accreditation centres:

Dubai: Zone A, Room No G009, Ground Floor, Entry from Gate A3, Dubai International Stadium.

Sharjah: Venue Operations Office, Level 1 – Inner Gate S1 – Main Gate 1, Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Please note that accreditation cards will not be distributed on match-days. Media are advised to collect their cards before the start of the tournament or on non-match days.

ICC Hall of Fame Celebration Dinner

The ICC will be announcing three new inductees into its prestigious Hall of Fame ahead of the semi-finals. On Saturday 19 October, from 6:30pm, the Class of 2024 will be honoured in a special celebration dinner in Dubai.

The evening will reflect upon the impact and legacy of these cricket legends, all of whom enjoyed remarkable international careers, and will see guests take to the stage to discuss highlights and memories from their time in the game.

We have a limited number of spaces allocated for accredited media at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup to attend the event. To register your interest, kindly email callum.davies@icc-cricket.com with your full name and organisation by 17h00 hrs on Wednesday 9 October 2024. Media will be informed in the days that follow if they have been successfully selected to attend. Please note that written press will be given priority since photographers and camerapersons will not be permitted to shoot at this event.
