PNG U19 ADVANCE TO EAP DIVISION 1 QUALIFIER AFTER UNBEATEN CAMPAIGN

Papua New Guinea (PNG) have secured qualification for the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup East Asia-Pacific Division 1 Qualifier after an unbeaten run at the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup EAP Division 2 Qualifier in Port Vila, Vanuatu.
PNG completed a perfect campaign with a commanding 143-run victory over Samoa in the final.
Captain Vagi Morea continued his impressive tournament with another half-century in the final and was named Batter of the Tournament.
Fast bowler Ware Wala also starred throughout the event, claiming both the Player of the Tournament and Bowler of the Tournament awards.
In the third-place play-off, Indonesia defeated hosts Vanuatu by four wickets to finish third in the four-team tournament, which was played across five days.

With the result, Papua New Guinea progress to the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup East Asia-Pacific Division 1 Qualifier, where they will join Japan and Fiji in the next stage of the qualification pathway.
