Six nations will compete in Kigali, Rwanda, from 9-15 August 2026 on the road to the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2028

Single round-robin format will decide top three teams that advance to next year’s Regional Final
The Rwanda Cricket Association (RCA) is gearing up to host the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2028 Africa Qualifier Division 2 in Kigali from 9-15 August 2026.
The six-nation tournament will feature host nation Rwanda, along with Uganda, Nigeria, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, and Ghana. The top three teams at the end of the competition will advance to next year’s Regional Final that will ultimately determine Africa’s final representative at the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2028.
All teams will play against each other in a single round-robin group stage format, with matches played at the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium (both the Main Oval & B Oval grounds) and the RP-Kigali Oval.

The top three teams at the end of the tournament will join Namibia, Kenya and Tanzania in the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Qualifier in 2027, having already qualified from their section of Division 2.
