WWT20 2018 – Stafanie Taylor welcomes you

The Windies Women captain extends a grand welcome to the Caribbean to all the fans and players.

“We are here in the Caribbean and we like the music and we like the vibes,” Taylor shares in a first-person article with the ICC. “Whether it’s a training session or a match, we like to hear some music and we know this will help the way we play.”

Taylor, who is the top-ranked all-rounder and second-ranked batter in the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s T20I Rankings, says the lively atmosphere will bring the crowds into the stadium but cautions that the side will have to be at its best.

“Expectations are high from us playing at home and it is important that we keep our composure and not get too much ahead of ourselves. We have to concentrate on how we want to play as a team,” she writes.

Taylor has also discussed the strengths of different sides and the top players who will be on view during the 16-day tournament.
