The United States of America (USA) have been fined 10 per cent of their match fee and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been fined five per cent of their match fee for maintaining slow over-rates during their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 match in Dallas on Monday.

Reon King of the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanctions after the USA were ruled to be two overs short and the UAE were ruled to be one over short after time allowances were taken into consideration.

In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined five per cent of their match fee for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time.

Captains Monank Patel of the USA and Harpreet Singh of the UAE pled guilty and accepted the proposed sanctions, so there was no need for formal hearings.

On-field umpires Aditya Gajjar and Deighton Butler, and reserve umpire Vijay Mallela levelled the charges.
