Schedule of Captains’ Pressers, Open Media Days and Warm-Up Matches ahead of the ICC Men’s World Cup 2019

Media advisory

The ICC Cricket World Cup will be played in England and Wales from 30 May to 14 July. The following is the schedule of teams’ activities and media opportunities from 23-28 May.

23 May

London

  • Captains press conference all 10 captains will be presented and interviewed at a press conference at The Film Shed, 76 Stoke Newington Road, London, N16 7XB. The press conference will be hosted by Mark Chapman and captains Eoin Morgan (England), Gulbadin Naib (Afghanistan), Aaron Finch (Australia), Mashrafe Mortaza (Bangladesh), Virat Kohli (India), Kane Williamson (New Zealand), Sarfraz Ahmed (Pakistan), Faf du Plessis (South Africa), Dimuth Karunaratne (Sri Lanka) and Jason Holder (West Indies) will all be present. Please note only media who have had their attendance confirmed may attend.

24 May

London

  • The ICC Anti-Corruption Unit: Alex Marshall, ICC ACU General Manager will hold a press conference at The Ken Barrington Cricket Centre, The Oval at 10h00.

Cardiff

  • Sri Lanka and South Africa will play a warm-up game at the Cardiff Wales Stadium. The match will start at 10h30. After the match Sri Lanka and South Africa will hold an open media session after their warm-up game, starting at 18h00. For further information, please contact rajshekhar.rao@icc-cricket.com

 Bristol

  • Pakistan and Afghanistan will play a warm-up game at the Bristol County Ground. The match will start at 10h30.

Southampton

  • England and Australia will hold training sessions tomorrow. England from 10h00-13h00, Australia from 14h00-17h00.

  • England will hold a pre-match press conference featuring Liam Dawson from at 12:00, while Australia will make Assistant Coach, Brad Haddin available for their presser starting at 13:30. Please also advise all media to use the Hilton Hotel reception/lobby entrance for access into the ground as that is where the accreditation checkpoint will be. Only media who have been accredited for the tournament will be permitted entry.

25 May

London

  • India and New Zealand will play a warm-up match at The Oval. The match will start at 10h30. After the match both India and New Zealand will hold an open media session, starting at 18h00. For further information, please contact Mary.Godbeer@icc-cricket.com

 Cardiff

 Bristol

  • South Africa and West Indies will play a warm-up game at the Bristol County Ground. The match will start at 10h30.

  • Cricket World Cup 2019 press conference Steve Elworthy (CWC19 Managing Director) and David Richardson (ICC) will speak to the media in The Ken Barrington Cricket Centre, The Oval at 08h30
