Reporter: A special occasion for you bringing up 250 ODI wickets. You're the first Indian woman to do that. Was it ever something you would imagine you would achieve in your career?

Jhulan: Well when I started I never thought about it and just wanted to go there, express myself all the time. Try to contribute more from my side. But some days you know things are going in my way, some days is really tough to - where you want to deliver, the things does not happen - but this is a never ending learning process. You keep playing and keep going to learn each and every time but yeah, I'm happy that I'm able to take 250 wickets, but never thought about that in my life. And secondly, if we could be happy if we win this match.

Reporter: I want to know from you about the performances of Meghna and Pooja with the ball today. How do you rate it?

Jhulan: Okay, I think Meghna and Pooja they really bowled well and see - whenever they got opportunity, we try to create - give them the breakthrough. And what was planned was there - they tried to able to execute it. That's why we were able to take seven wickets and I think both of them bowled brilliantly today.

Reporter: After such a defeat, how hard is it to pick up and move on to the next game, put the result behind? Given the fact that the next game is against a team like Australia and it's a crucial game for India.

Jhulan: I think in this World Cup every match is very much important and every match is not easy. You can't predict and definitely we have to bounce back when you're playing against the best teams in the world. But again, we have to recollect everything. We'll have few days. We'll definitely sort it out whatever things are there and definitely try go there and play the positive cricket

Reporter: I just wanted to know, if there's an update on Harmans fitness. And like is the number three and four position a slight concern for India because those two batters have not fired so far in the four matches that the team has played.

Jhulan: I think Harman will be alright because I think physio is taking care of Harman's fitness and I'm not able to comment at this moment and that our management will let you know in some time. But I don't think so it’s a concern. You know who is batting at number three is Mithali Raj – she is just one big knock away for her start. And you know, past series also she was batting fantastically against New Zealand - it’s just one big knock away from this tournament. And I don't think so we have issues – I think Deepti also did a pretty decent job. And number five is Harman is playing so I don't think so we have an issue, it’s just one bad day that we as a batting unit couldn’t perform well.

Reporter: I just wanted to ask you - how has your body been coping with all the travel and the back to back games? How are you feeling physically going into the next game I guess?

Jhulan: Ananya - only you can understand my feelings. Yeah, thanks.

But yeah, that's the important thing for my side, because it's important to be fresh all the time whenever we come into the ground and try to give your best all the time. But we have a physio trainer - everybody is monitoring our workload management. And yeah, so far all okay and we are working hard. Try to come back strongly in the next game.

Reporter: Indian team got all out with 14 overs spare. Could those 14 overs had been used, at least 65-70 runs could have been added. In bowling your team got 6 wickets. If your team had played those 14 overs and had added 65-70 runs, setting a target of 200+ runs. Do you think this could have troubled England team?

Jhulan: Definitely we had plan of playing 300 runs completely unfortunately we could not play full 50 overs which cost us this match. Keeping in view playing and pitch conditions, we planned to set a target of around 240-250. In this case we could have restricted them. But you know it happens in cricket that you plan something and it does not work for you. When you are against quality side like England whose have done very well in past few year, these things happen. Today we could not execute our plans properly.

Reporter: My question to you is – how was the mood in the camp before the match. Were you happy with the sort of training that you had done from the West Indies match? Were the batters looking good, just like how do you just generally, how do you explain the batting that we saw against West Indies and today the batting that we saw -where was the problem?

Jhulan: There is no problem in Indian batting. This is a big tournament and when you will be playing consecutive 7-8 matches then obviously there would be few ups and downs. You can’t go in same graph. Important thing is how we do comeback as a team and execute our plans. The team environment is pretty good. Everybody is very relaxed and knows her role. It’s just one of the bad day for us in game. Simply we could not execute our plans well today.

Reporter: your performance today was very good and does it feel emotional to achieve this kind of a milestone. Do you feel that - and how do you plan to look at cricket after this event? Do you plan to go on or do you plan to now sort of take this as your final tournament?

Jhulan: Well, honestly speaking feel good - 250 is a big number. Again, I'll come back, never thought about it as a cricket you can’t plan for those things. It's just if you are playing 20 years, you're going to achieve some individual milestone at same time. But important is you are representing such a team that the team comes always first. So for me is winning - India is more important and my contribution is there. That is the things I always try to do that. And I haven't think about it after retirement on all this stuff. At this moment we are just focusing in this World Cup – we are at such an important place at this moment. As a senior member of the side, I try to contribute from my side as much as I can.

Reporter: you are not part of proper batting unit and as you stated earlier that there are ups and down always in batting but in this tournament Indian team batting is consistently collapsing. In each match India lost 3-4 wickets under 100 runs margin. What’s your plan? How it could be sorted. Herman also mentioned about inconsistency of top order batting. How team India has planned to cope with this situation.

Jhulan: Honestly speaking - at this moment. Yes. Our top order have not fired as we had expected, but I'm sure – you have to be very positive about that because they have done really well in past. Only this start of this tournament didn’t happen as we had expected - but I'm very much hopeful. They're going to come back hard in next game, because everybody wants to do well - this is the biggest platform – you won’t get a platform bigger than this - so everybody wants to do well and contribute for the team. And again, I'm very much hopeful. They're going to come back strongly in next game.

Reporter: Have you sorted out the solution to address these collapses.

Jhulan: There is no quick solution to this. There is a proper process for this game and that’s how it proceeds. Someday top order won’t work, someday middle order won’t work. This is how this game has been played. Someday Top order will not work, someday middle order will not work. This is how the game has been played. And in bowling also - one day bowlers will not bowl well. Some other will come and support - that's the way this game has been played. But definitely it's a learning process - every day we'll try to address certain issues, and we'll definitely solve that issues and come back strongly.
