Reporter: Sophie obvious one – how do you feel after that – so close, a topsy turvy game, gave yourself a chance – you fought back – what are your overriding emotions?

Sophie: Yeah, there's a lot going on at the moment, that's for sure. I think as you said, it was a game that ebbed and flowed that we, you know, we're in it, then we're out of it, then we're back in it. I think, you know, take a great level of pride from the way that the girls fought though, throughout their innings, I thought, you know, with the ball we were probably very sketchy to start and we gave them a few too many runs and got them on their way a little bit. So, there's small things that we can adjust and quickly you know, tune up on and then to take it to the last over, I think that shows the grip of this team and a bit of mangle to try and take it as deep as possible.

Reporter: In 2017, when England hosted the World Cup they lost the first game and went on to win, Australia when they hosted the T20 World Cup – they lost their first game and went on to win – you also you’re your first game. There's hope –

Sophie: There is hope. I mean, yeah, I mean, I’d prefer to have won the first game but look Absolutely. It becomes really clear to us now if it wasn't before that we've got a win now here on in and it's something that we've got to embrace and that we know the challenges that lie ahead of us so yeah, look it's yeah it's in our control now.

Reporter: Soph if there was a little bit of a different innings tonight –

Sophie: Yeah look it was probably a little different innings for me – I think losing Suz, [inaudible 02:19] Yeah, probably needed to bet but deeper, a little bit slow. But I think I probably learned from the Australian innings that you know, I can take my time and sort of go a little bit at the end. So disappointed to get out when I did. I thought, you know, I was probably in a position to get going and launch probably that last little bit in the innings. But you know, I had full confidence in the way Katey was betting and especially the way that we know that that Jess Kerr and Hannah Rowe can strike the ball. So yeah, it's a tough one.

Reporter: Time, how do you regroup for Bangladesh – and how do you find time to prepare for the game?

Sophie: Yeah, look, I think it's probably a good thing that we don't have much time to dwell on it. I think we know pretty clearly where we missed tonight. And we do - we know that we've got to go back to what our strengths are, particularly when we play against the side which we haven't played much in the past. So it will certainly be about refocusing on what we do well, making sure we go back to the drawing board if there's anything that we need to change but I think the best thing for us to do is go back to our strengths.

Reporter: How tough was fielding out here? Both teams dropped quite a few catches and it seems maybe like a few times it wasn’t picked up -

Sophie: Yeah potentially I mean, we had a field out here last night so I don't think there's any excuses from us. I think, you know, we really have a lot of pride in our fielding and it probably hasn't been up to scratch for a little bit yet but again, it's not a skill thing. I think it's probably just you know, whether its mindset or attitude I don't know but yeah, look, I think that's certainly an area where we can improve

Reporter: Do you think - I know that we can’t have crowds bigger than what we had tonight - But with a bigger crowd do you think it lifted you guys - how much does a crowd make a difference?

Sophie: Yeah, it's a really good question. I think we've gotten used to, to playing without crowds and so we've got to bring our own energy in and certainly feed off each other. So it was lovely to have a few people there I think is you know, maybe close to 1000 and some family and friends are allowed in as well. So it's really nice, but we also know that there's support, you know, watching from the TV watching at home, in whatever way possible and we certainly draw strength from it - Absolutely we'd love to be playing in front of sold out crowds but look it's the environment that we live in at the moment, so fingers crossed by the end of the tournament we'll have a few more through the gates but until that point we're just going to have to create the energy ourselves.
