Aaron Finch, Ashton Agar and Peter Nevill enjoy a game in the rain with ICC Cricket For Good and Team Swachh in Dharamsala
ICC Cricket For Good and Team Swachh joined the Australian Cricket team at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala on 17 January just after their practice session. Despite the rain almost playing truant, Aaron Finch, Peter Nevill and Ashton Agar played a highly fun game of cricket with the boys and girls from a local NGO, which almost had everyone in splits.

When asked to share some cricket tips with the children, Aaron Finch said, “don’t need to, they’re already really good”. He also called one young girl “Dhoni” as she hit all deliveries for sixes and fours. Just before the game had to be abandoned because of rain, the children showed the cricketers the 5 steps of handwashing, emphasising on the importance of cleanliness. They also shared with the cricketers the message of the campaign - to create an India where everyone uses a toilet.

This cricket clinic was organised as part of ICC Cricket For Good and UNICEF’s partnership to advocate for the rights of children. In India, the focus of this partnership is on Sanitation.
