The ICC remains committed to staging a safe and successful ICC Champions Trophy Pakistan 2008 and with preparations necessary to best ensure that outcome, it is pleased to launch the media accreditation process for the event which runs from 12 to 28 September 2008 in Pakistan.

The event itself opens in Lahore on 12 September with a game between host Pakistan and the West Indies and concludes with the final at the same ground 16 days later. In all there are two venues being used, with Karachi also staging matches.

The guidelines for filling the applications for accreditations are:

  • Organisations will need to nominate one coordinator to submit applications for their staff

  • This coordinator will be the single point of contact for future correspondence about applicant details and accreditation requirements

  • Coordinators should visit www.rushmansaccreditation.com

  • If you are submitting the first application for your organisation you will need to click “Register here to apply”

  • The next page will allow you to choose the category of your organisation from the drop-down menu

  • You will then be required to accept the terms and conditions of accreditation for the ICC Champions Trophy Pakistan 2008

  • Create an organisation profile and then make your first application for this organisation. The organisation profile and first application comprises of four pages

  • These pages will have combination of mandatory and optional fields with mandatory fields marked as * (asterisk)

  • The photo uploads need to use head and shoulder images less than 250 KB

  • You’ll also need the soft copy of a SIGNED letter of assignment from the authorising person at your organisation for each of your applicants

  • Once information about the organisation and applicant are filled in the first two pages, the third page will allow you to choose matches your first applicant wants to attend. The fourth page will allow you to choose the venue to collect his or her pass

  • After filling all this information, you should click submit application on the fourth page. This is an important step and should not be missed

  • You should then wait for at least 24 hours for your application to be verified by Rushmans. Once your application has been verified a confirmation email will be sent to the email address of the coordinator

  • This confirmation email will include a username and password which the coordinator can use to create more applications for this organisation

  • Please note that submitting the application and receiving a password does not automatically grant accreditation. Further security screening and organisational approvals will be required

  • After receiving your username and password you can submit subsequent applications for your organisation by logging in at www.rushmansaccreditation.com under section “Registered Organisations”. Please note you shouldn’t click “Register here to apply” this time as you’re already registered

  • Verification by Rushmans of subsequent applications will be followed by a confirmation email (to the coordinator) confirming receipt of the application

A full schedule of matches is attached.

Please note that the deadline for application is Wednesday 27 August 2008.

An advisory regarding accreditation for the ICC Awards 2008, which will be held in Lahore on 10 September, shall be sent out in due course.
