Accreditation
Dear Accredited Media,
Accreditation requests for the semi-finals and final has now closed.
Over the next few hours the decisions surrounding requests for Semi-Final One will appear on your accounts, with Semi-Final Two decisions appearing tomorrow morning. You can be view your status by logging on at: https://accreditation.cwc19.co.uk/registration/medialogin.aspx
If your request still shows “Pending” by tomorrow morning, that is most likely because more than the permitted quota of journalists from your organisation applied for accreditation. In this circumstance we ask the publication/editor to determine who should attend. It would be in your interest to contact your organisation first and ask them to reply to the Cricket World Cup Media Operations stating who should attend – email: mediaoperations@cwc19.co.uk
Attendance to all matches has been determined in accordance with the ICC quotas, priority orders and in consideration of the teams playing.
We received 278 applications for semi-final one and 331 applications for semi-final two. We can only cater for 134 media (including Overflow) at semi-final one and 144 media (including Overflow) at semi-final two.
For the Final we received 366 applications for 237 spaces (including Overflow).
Due to the significant number of requests, these allocations are final and the Media Operations team will not engage in correspondence surrounding unsuccessful applications.
As previously advised, camera operators do not have access to matches and all requests have been declined.
If you have been allocated to one of the matches and can no longer attend, please advise the Media Operations team no later than 24 hours in advance of the match. Failure to attend an allocated semi-final will result in the cancellation of accreditation for the final.
