Media wanting to attend in person need to produce proof of a negative COVID-19 test result conducted not more than 48 hours before any media conference. This is an event requirement and as per direction of ICC’s Biosafety Scientific Advisory Committee (BSAC) to ensure the safety of all participants. The ICC has arranged for these tests free of cost.

To attend the media conferences in person, please email your request to media@icc-cricket.com.We will confirm your attendance for the media conference(s) and organize for you to be registered with the COVID-19 testing suppliers if you wish to avail of the free facility. Please indicate clearly in your e-mail the interactions you wish to attend and whether you want us to arrange for your test. The list of testing centres are available in the Resources section of the Online Media Zone.

Once registered, you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the sign-up process. Please note the process can take up to 12 hours. Once completed, you will receive a QR code which you will need to present at the testing centre prior to your PCR saliva test. This QR code will be valid for all future testing at the event but you will still need to book a seat in future press conferences as there may be a cap on media attendance due to COVID protocols.

In case of back-to-back matches or where it is difficult for media to go for a PCR test again, Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) may be conducted. The RAT tests will be conducted on those who did go in for a PCR test but the 48-hour time period may have just elapsed on that day or the previous day.

If you are unable to attend a press conference but wish to send in questions, please e-mail them to media@icc-cricket.com and we will try to get them answered. Please write who the question(s) are meant for, with your name and organization written clearly at the end of the e-mail.

Video recordings of media conferences will be available on the Online Media Zone here for use by media shortly after conclusion of the interactions.
