Afghanistan duo claim top ranking following Bangladesh sweep
Two new No.1 ranked players from Afghanistan on the latest update to the ODI rankings, while India's red-ball stars make further ground on the Test rankings.
Two of Afghanistan's best white-ball stars in Rashid Khan and Azmatullah Omarzai have been the big winners on the latest update to the ICC Men's ODI Player Rankings.
Rashid regains his place as the No.1 ranked ODI bowler in the world following Afghanistan's 3-0 series sweep over Bangladesh, while Omarzai returns to the premier position for ODI all-rounders.

And Player of the Series Ibrahim Zadran almost completed a trio of new No.1s in the ODI ranks for Afghanistan as he rose eight spots to improve to second only behind India's Shubman Gill on the updated list for ODI batters.
It was a clinical performance from Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi as they completed an ODI series sweep over the Asian rivals for the very first time and bodes well for the side ahead of the next edition of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe in 2027.

Rashid took 11 wickets across the three matches to move up five places and overtake South Africa's Keshav Maharaj at the top of the rankings for ODI bowlers, while Omarzai gains one spot to climb past Zimbabwe veteran Sikandar Raza on the list for ODI all-rounders following seven scalps of his own across the series.
Rashid also rises the all-rounder rankings, gaining two spots to move to fourth as Afghanistan's players dominate all three ODI categories.

There is also some movement on the updated Test rankings following India's 2-0 series sweep over the West Indies, with young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and veteran spinner Kuldeep Yadav among the biggest winners.

The West Indies will be buoyed by the efforts of Shai Hope (up 34 places to equal 66th) and centurion John Campbell (up six rungs to 68th) as the pair climb the list for Test batters, while teammate Jomel Warrican (up two spots to 30th) makes some ground for Test bowlers.
