Ali Khan, Colin Munro in CPL 2018 all-star team
Khan, 27, was a part of the victorious Trinbago Knight Riders side, getting the final off to the perfect start with a wicket off the first ball of the match with his medium pace.
The Knight Riders had four members in the all-star XI, including batsmen Colin Munro and Darren Bravo, and bowlers Khan and Fawad Ahmed.
Munro, No.4 on the MRF Tyres ICC T20I Player Rankings for Batsmen, was the highest run-scorer, with 567 in 13 matches at a strike rate of 140.34. Bravo was fourth on the charts, getting his 353 runs, striking at 131.22. Australia’s Ahmed was the top wicket-taker, with 22 wickets at an economy of 6.18.
Runners up Guyana Amazon Warriors had Imran Tahir (16 wickets at an economy of 5.91) and the young Shimron Hetmyer (440 runs at a strike rate of 148.14, with one century) included.

Hetmyer, one of the stars of the tournament, was one of three Windies players younger than 25 in the team of the tournament. Rovman Powell (330 runs) and Oshane Thomas (18 wickets) are the other two youngsters who were match-winners.
Tom Moody, CPL’s Director, International Cricket, said, “We have seen some outstanding performances in this year’s CPL, but what has stood out is the emergence of young local talent.
“The performances of both Hetmyer and Thomas have been a highlight of the tournament, they are both set for a bright future with the Windies.”

The Windies’ Andre Russell (163 runs, 14 wickets) who made a record century and Kieron Pollard (330 runs, 4 wickets) and New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips (457 runs) rounded up the team.
