She has five days to recover, before Australia play the semi-finals on Thursday, 22 November, in Antigua.

The collision happened in the game on Saturday when both players went for a catch mid-pitch in the 19th over, after Arundhathi Reddy top-edged an attempted slog off Schutt’s bowling. Healy crashed face first into Schutt’s shoulder, and while the bowler looked unhurt, Healy had to leave the field for treatment.

“She’s just got a mild concussion,” Australia captain Meg Lanning said. “We’ll treat that carefully and monitor it over the next few days, but hopefully she’s alright for us come semi-finals day.”

Healy, Player of the Match in each of Australia’s first three matches in the tournament, did not come out to bat in the chase. “She was down on the bench towards the end of the batting innings," Lanning said. "She wanted to bat but we were just playing that smart.”

Faced with a target of 168, Australia folded for 119 in a match between teams that had already qualified for the semi-finals.
