Ambassadors at Slovak Cricket Day

On Saturday, 14th May, Slovak cricket club organized a Cricket Day in Hajske and thus carried on the tradition of the European Spirit of Cricket Weekend. It is still a opportunity to highlight cricket in Slovakia where cricket is developing and doesn't have a long tradition.

This year's day was unique; we were honoured to welcome the British Ambassador in Austria John Macgregor, British Ambassador in Slovakia Judith Macgregor and Indian Ambassador in Slovakia MK Lokesh, and we were pleased to welcome many other foreigners and guests living in Slovakia.

The programme was full of competitions and sporting activities for children like bowling, batting and catching the ball. Children were divided into 3 groups: boys under 11, boys over 11 and girls. When the competition finished, many of them were rewarded with prizes. After this activity, a children's match started and all of the kids were playing with great enthusiasm which surprised and pleased everyone. The children then had a picnic.

After a raffle drawn by the Ambassadors, play continued with India v England which the Indians won.
