The anti-doping program at the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in South Africa was delivered in accordance with the ICC Anti-Doping Code, with the aim of protecting the integrity of the Events and the rights of clean cricketers participating. The program included anti-doping education and sample collection.

The focus at the ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup was on building awareness, helping players understand their anti-doping responsibilities and where they could seek help if required. At the Women’s T20WC, the players’ existing anti-doping knowledge was tested by way of an anti-doping quiz. This brought out the competitive spirit of the players and made for a fun and engaging learning environment.

Clearidium was the Sample Collection Agency that delivered testing at both events. During the events, a team of trained doping control officers (DCOs) collected urine and/or blood samples from selected athletes in accordance with the ICC Anti-Doping Code and the samples were transported to the WADA accredited Bloemfontein lab in South Africa for analysis.

The ICC is pleased to report that there were no positive results from the samples collected at the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2023 and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023.
