Appointments finalised for final and third to eighth-place play-offs of ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier

The referee and umpire appointments have been finalised for the final and the third to eighth-place play-off stages of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier which is currently underway on the Highveld of South Africa.

This stage of the tournament will be refereed by Roshan Mahanama, Ranjan Madugalle and Chris Broad of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees.

The final will take place between Ireland and Canada in Centurion on Sunday and it will be refereed by Mahanama. The on-field umpires will be Marais Erasmus and Rod Tucker with third umpire being Jeff Luck.

The third/fourth-place play-off takes place in Potchefstroom between the Netherlands and Kenya and will be refereed by Madugalle. The on-field umpires will be Amish Saheba and Ian Howell with the third umpire being Sarika Prasad.

The fifth/sixth-place play-off takes place in Benoni between Scotland and Afghanistan and will be refereed by Broad. The on-field umpires will be Gary Baxter and Enamul Hoque-Moni with the third umpire being Karl Hurter.

Each of these three matches shall be ODIs.

The seventh/eighth-place play-off, which is not an ODI, will take place at LC de Villiers Oval, Pretoria, between the United Arab Emirates and Namibia. The remote match referee will be Mahanama while Kumar Dharmasena and Paul Baldwin will be the on-field umpires. Buddhi Pradhan will be the third umpire.
