Appointments finalised for group stages of ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier
The referee and umpire appointments have been finalised for the group stage of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier to be held on the Highveld of South Africa from 1 to 19 April.
The early stages of the tournament shall be refereed by Roshan Mahanama and Chris Broad of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees while Ranjan Madugalle, also of the Emirates Elite Panel, will join the team later in the tournament.
There has been one late change to the team of umpires who will officiate during the tournament. Roger Dill from the ICC Associates and Affiliates Umpires’ Panel has been unable to travel to South Africa due to work commitments.
His place has been taken by Russell Tiffin from the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires. In all, there will be 18 umpires who will stand during the tournament.
The match referees are: Chris Broad, Ranjan Madugalle and Roshan Mahanama.
The umpires are: Niels Bagh, Paul Baldwin, Kevan Barbour, Gary Baxter, Karran Bayney, Kumar Dharmasena, Marais Erasmus, Enamul Hoque-Moni, Ian Howell, Karl Hurter, Jeff Luck, Subhash Modi, Buddhi Pradhan, Sarika Prasad, Ian Ramage, Amish Saheba, Russell Tiffin and Rod Tucker.
