Associate Member Integrity Action Plan
Integrity
Over the last few years, the ICC Associate Member Integrity Action Plan 2021-23 successfully ensured the ICC Integrity Unit formalised and enhanced support to all Associate Members. Encompassing corruption, safeguarding (protection of vulnerable people), security, doping, discrimination and ethics, the Plan provides Associate Members with access to resources and support required to protect cricket within their jurisdiction and enhance trust and confidence in the sport globally.
The Unit remains committed to this work with the launch of the 2025-2029 plan. The primary objective remains to identify and address vulnerabilities while empowering and supporting Members to protect themselves across all areas of integrity.
Approximately 61% of all active ICC Anti-Corruption investigations, have links to Associate Member jurisdictions, involving suspects, targeted players, and events within those regions. This figure has remained consistent over the last two years. Of the five ICC regions, Africa and Northern America continue to exhibit significant vulnerabilities. Concerns also persist in Europe and Asia with ongoing efforts to address these issues in collaboration with specific Member Boards.
Together with the ICC regional teams, efforts have continued to guide and support Members on all integrity issues, specifically corruption, with a strong focus on the threats to domestic cricket and the requirement for thorough due diligence in league/sponsorship proposals.
In February, the Integrity Unit met with the Regional Development Managers to discuss further opportunities and requirements for the next four years. Following this, Integrity sessions were delivered at both ICC Americas and Africa workshops, held in April. The direct engagement with Members allowed for enhanced awareness of the current risks facing cricket and productive discussion as to how cricket globally can work together to address these threats. Members were also reminded of the importance in establishing their own safeguarding policies as well as their own procedural rules to sit alongside the Global Anti-Corruption Code.
The ICC Associate Member Integrity Action Plan 2025-29 will ensure continued progress by building on significant strides made in supporting Associate Members across all integrity matters.
