Australia Emerging Women's squad named

Australia Emerging Women's squad to play New Zealand A in Sydney next month has been named today.
National Chair of Selectors Julie Savage made some comments regarding the squad: " The series against New Zealand A, will play an important role in Australia's preparation for the ICC Women's World Cup to be held in India in February 2013. As a result, a number of the squad members and some experienced Women's National Cricket League players have been included in the tour squad to optimise their preparation ahead of the selection date for the World Cup squad.
"In addition, these players are joined by some of the best young talent in the country, with a view that some players will press for senior selection in the future and ensure the continued success of the Australian Women's Cricket team. The exposure to international competition presented by this tour will play an important role in the development of these players.
"In-form West Australian skipper Nicole Bolton will captain the side, assisted by the experienced Renee Chappell in the deputy's role," Savage said.
