Bairstow describes stunning ODI debut against India as 'dream come true'

England batsman Jonny Bairstow has described his ODI debut in the fifth and final match against India in Cardiff as a "dream come true".

Bairstow had smashed 41 off 21 balls, including three sixes, to set up a six-wicket victory for England to win the series 3-0.

"I got a call on Thursday and then to start off like this is a dream come true," Bairstow told Sky Sports.

"It's a positive outcome for the side and obviously they've played really well in this series. I wanted to enjoy the experience and hopefully we can go from here," he added.

The result helped England leapfrog India to go fourth in the ICC ODI Championship standings.
