Bangladesh announce squad for UAE ODI tri-series

Litton Das leads Bangladesh in the upcoming ODI tri-series in the UAE, also featuring Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.

Litton Das will lead Bangladesh in the upcoming tri-series in the UAE, beginning on 17 October, 2026.

Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will be the other sides featuring in the tri-series. Each of the three teams plays the other once in a round-robin format before the final on 23 October.

Having been named the ODI captain earlier this year with the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027 in sight, Litton will have Tawhid Hridoy as his deputy.

On the other hand, former ODI skipper and experienced spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz is also a part of the lineup, as is Hasan Mahmud, who was the architect of a historic Test win against Australia in Darwin.

Litton Das (c), Tawhid Hridoy, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Saif Hassan, Soumya Sarkar, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Musaddek Hossain Saikat, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Quazi Nurul Hasan Sohan, Rishad Hossain, Tanvir Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Shoriful Islam, Aliss Al Islam.

Off-spinner Aliss Al Islam who made his T20I debut against Sri Lanka in the Asian Games, has received a maiden ODI call-up.

On the other hand, Nahid Rana isn't a part of the squad as he continues to recover from a side-strain.
