Bangladesh brace for Pakistan, Australia challenge at home
A two-Test match series against Pakistan as well as three ODIs and as many T20Is against Australia at home await Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have confirmed dates for the upcoming two-match series as part of the ICC World Test Championship against Pakistan at home.
The first of the two matches will be played at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium from May 8. Meanwhile, the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium will host the second Test which begins on 16 May.
Bangladesh currently sit eighth in the nine-team WTC Standings having lost the two-match series against Sri Lanka last year.
The home season will also feature Bangladesh hosting Australia in June for three ODIs followed by as many T20Is.
While the venues for the upcoming series are yet to be announced, the two teams will square off for the first time on June 9 in the opening ODI.
The series offers a crucial opportunity to Bangladesh as they push for a spot at next year's ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027.
The three ODIs will be followed by the T20I series, which will kickstart on June 17 and conclude on June 21.
