Bangladesh reveal schedule for West Indies white-ball series

The West Indies will take on Bangladesh in three ODIs and as many T20Is, from October 18.

Bangladesh are set to host West Indies for a white-ball tour comprising six matches, with three ODIs followed by three T20Is. The ODIs will be played in Mirpur, while Chattogram will host the T20I leg of the series.

The first ODI will begin on October 18, with the remaining 50-over matches scheduled for October 20 and 23. The focus will then shift to the T20I series, starting on October 26, followed by matches on October 28 and 31.

The last ODI series between the two sides in Bangladesh took place in early 2021, when the hosts secured a comprehensive 3-0 victory. Meanwhile, the last T20I series in Bangladesh was back in 2018, with West Indies coming out on top 2-1.

This upcoming T20I series will be especially significant for both teams as they gear up for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka next year.

The most recent clash between the two sides came in December 2024, when Bangladesh toured the West Indies. Each team stamped its authority in one format, with Bangladesh sweeping the T20I series 3-0 while the West Indies responded with a dominant 3-0 victory in the ODIs.

The West Indies are currently playing a three-match T20I series against Nepal in the UAE, with Nepal leading the series 1-0. On the other hand, Bangladesh bowed out of the Asia Cup after reaching the Super 4s stage. They will take on Afghanistan next in a white-ball series from October 2 to October 14.
