Skipper Rohit Sharma suffered a finger injury during the second ODI in Dhaka and will miss the final match in Chattogram. His availability for the Test series will be decided after a special consultation in Mumbai.

The injury to the skipper occurred during the fourth delivery of the second over, sent down by Mohammed Siraj, as Rohit, who was fielding in the slip cordon, tried to catch a ball and hurt his thumb. He was immediately taken off the field and replaced by Rajat Patidar.

Rohit though then came out to bat at No.9 and fought valiantly, scoring a valiant 28-ball 51*, during India's chase of 272. Despite his best efforts, India fell short by 5 runs, as Bangladesh took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. Rohit now has a fight against time on his hands, with the Test series beginning on 14 December in Chattogram.

Kuldeep Sen (stress injury) and Deepak Chahar (hamstring strain) have also been ruled out of the series. The former missed the second ODI in Mirpur, while Chahar only bowled three overs in the second match.

Spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been drafted into the squad for the final ODI.
