Ben Hilfenhaus to replace Brett Lee in Australia ODI squad for Perth match against Sri Lanka

Cricket Australia today advised that CA's National Selection Panel has named Ben Hilfenhaus in the squad for Australia's Commonwealth Bank Series ODI against Sri Lanka this Friday in Perth, due to the foot injury sustained by Brett Lee during Friday's KFC T20 INTL against India at the MCG.

National Selector John Inverarity said: "The NSP has named Ben Hilfenhaus in the squad for the game against Sri Lanka in Perth on Friday. Ben will replace the injured Brett Lee. The bowling attack for Perth is likely to be the same as the one that did so well in Melbourne and Ben will be in Perth to provide cover."

The NSP also confirmed that Mitch Marsh, who is currently playing for the Retravision Warriors in Queensland in a BUPA Sheffield Shield match, will join the squad in Adelaide for the 12 February fixture against India, as was previously advised when the squad was originally announced.

X-rays confirmed a fracture of the small toe of Brett Lee's right foot and he is expected to return to cricket in four to six weeks.

Australia takes on Sri Lanka in the third game of the Commonwealth Bank Series in Perth on Friday 10 February. India faces Sri Lanka on Wednesday 8 February in the second game of the Commonwealth Bank Series at the WACA in Perth.
