Bermuda appoints David Moore as national coach
Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed David Moore as its national coach ahead of its ICC Intercontinental Shield tour of Namibia in March.
The former West Indies coach will take over from Gus Logie and will join the squad ahead of its pre-tournament training camp at the High Performance Centre at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
On his appointment, skipper David Hemp said on the Royal Gazette: "I think the fact that you have a new coach taking over is like a new beginning for Bermuda cricket. When Gus took over five years ago that was the start of something else, and that ended up in an ICC Cricket World Cup place.?
"Unfortunately we've slipped away from the ODI status, and it's important we raise ourselves back up the rankings and make Bermuda cricket high profile once more. It is a new start and I think it's a great opportunity, certainly for younger players, to develop their game under a new regime."
