Big names miss out as Pakistan reveal squad for Sri Lanka

Four key players will be missing when Pakistan's T20 World Cup preparations go up a notch during a three-game T20I series against Sri Lanka next month.

A host of key players have missed selection as Pakistan announced their T20I squad for next month's three-match series in Sri Lanka.

Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Mohammad Rizwan will skip the series as they feature in Australia's domestic Big Bash League, with uncapped keeper-batter Khawaja Nafay winning a maiden call-up as part of the 15-player squad.

Nafay joins returning all-rounder Shadab Khan and skipper Salman Ali Agha in a new-look squad that Pakistan will use to finalise their playing group for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup that commences on February 7.

Pakistan are drawn in Group B for the upcoming T20 World Cup and will play against India, Namibia, Netherlands and USA during the first round of the event
