Borren leads Dutch to second win

Netherlands XI continued its winning ways in the Clydesdale Bank 40 tournament in England on Monday.

The Dutch side beat English county side Derbyshire by 13 runs to register its second win in the tournament.

Batting first Netherlands XI posted 204 for six in its 40 overs and then restricted Derbyshire to 191 for 9 in 40 overs at the Derby County Ground.

For the Dutch, Wesley Barresi (74: 106b, 5x4, 1x6) and skipper Peter Borren (56 not out: 37b, 7x4, 1x6) were the best batsmen on view.

Mark Turner (2-42) and Steffan Jones (2-30) were the best bowlers on view for Derbyshire.

In the chase, Wes Durston (64: 91b, 4x4, 1x6) and Wayne Madsen (75: 79b, 6x4) shared a crucial 117 run fourth wicket stand. But after their departure, the chase fell apart.

Shane Mott (3-35), Mudassar Bukhari (2-27) and Borren (3-29) shared the wickets as the Dutch ran home winners.
