On this week's ICC Cricket World audio show New Zealand's Brendon McCullum talks about the importance of Test cricket and the great impact former Australia wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist had on the game.
The Black Caps' wicketkeeper and vice-captain said: "Test cricket to me is still so special. I can't see that it'll ever die. It may take a different course, but I don't think it'll die. There's too much history, there's too much support, there're too many purists out there for it to die."
The 27-year-old said of the former Australia wicketkeeper: "Adam Gilcrhist changed the face of what a wicketkeeper's role in the team was. He was phenomenal and he did it against all trends and he changed ideas of how a wicketkeeper should be involved in the team."
The show can be used in whole or part by radio stations that want cricket content, while the public can also download it straight from the ICC website at http://www.icc-cricket.com/media_interactive_zone/podcast.php.
This week's show also includes an interview with Pakistan captain Younus Khan who discusses his hopes for his team ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy this September and of Pakistan's poor performance in its recent one-day series in Sri Lanka.
Younus said of the areas his side needs to work on: "If you look at the Sri Lanka tour, in the batting we were suddenly collapsing and the finishing touches weren't there. I think these are the areas we must work and the other thing is that we must work on our fielding as well, especially in one-day cricket."
Younus also spoke of Pakistan's new left-arm pace bowler Mohammed Amer saying: "Everybody knows he's only 17-years-old but the good thing about him is that he's aggressive and don't go by his age as he's more mature."
Apart from these interviews, this week's ICC Cricket World also includes the latest news from around the world as well as updates on the Reliance Mobile ICC Player Rankings.
The weekly ICC Cricket World audio show runs for 15 minutes and has been put together by the ICC's global broadcast partner ESPN STAR Sports.
