Chris Old now works for six pounds an hour
Fast bowler Chris Old, who was a part of England's legendary 1981 Ashes team, is earning six pounds an hour in the magazine section of Sainsbury's in Truro, Cornwall after hitting tough times.
Chris started a fish restaurant in Cornwall with wife Letitia after his cricket career culminated, but was forced to sell it in 2009 after failed to get the asking price for it.
He believes he could have earned lot more, but he isn't that sort of person.
"Some colleagues know about what I did. Perhaps I could have made more of it, but I'm not that sort of person," The Sun quoted Chris, as saying.
Chris played a key role in the famous Headingley Test against Australia, adding 67 runs with Ian Botham as England completed cricket's greatest ever comeback.
"You could feel the Aussies falling apart," he said.
