Coaching duo part ways ahead of India's Sri Lanka series
Ryan Ten Doeschate had been part of the India setup over the past two years while T Dilip was a member of the dressing room since 2021.
India assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate and fielding coach T Dilip have parted ways with the India men's cricket team, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed.
"The BCCI continued with the duo till the end of India's tour of United Kingdom. However, the BCCI is not giving them any extension," Saikia told PTI. "There is no question of accepting resignation as the contract has ended.
"We are currently in talks with two to three names [for fielding coach role] and expect to finalise the details within a day or two. India will have a new fielding coach for tour of Sri Lanka [in August]."
Ten Doeschate, who joined the Indian dressing room after the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 triumph, has been part of the setup over the last two years. He has joined the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders as Head of Cricket Strategy.
The former Dutch international was a part of the unit that clinched the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year, as well as ICC Men’s Champions Trophy in 2025.
