Coetzer, Mommsen hand Scotland 91-run win

Earlier, choosing to bat first, Scotland posted 277 for 8 in its 50 overs, despite losing Hamish Gardiner and Matt Machan early in the innings. Coetzer (66) and Mommsen (65) got together for a third wicket partnership of 88 from 19.5 overs to put the visitors back on track.

Andy McKay, the Wellington left-arm medium pacer, bagged three wickets at the end but could not prevent Scotland from posting a competitive total - one that eventually proved too many for the hosts.

The win immensely boost Scotland’s confidence ahead of the ICC World Cup 2015 and they will be hopeful of their chances in Pool Ain Australia and New Zealand.
