Cricket Australia Conducts Level 3 Course in Florida

36625 Cricket Australia Level 3 Course in the Americas

Cricket Australia is conducting a level 3 course in the region and 6 local ICC Americas coaches are benefiting form the experience.

In attendance was Arnold Manders (Bermuda); Mukesh Narula (Canada); Clevie Wade (Bermuda); Pearson Best (Cayman Islands); Basil Butcher jr. ( USA); Raghuram Boorada (USA)

The course is being conducted at the Sheraton hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Cricket Australia usually conducts one level 3 course per year, however this course was the brainchld of Wendell Coppin, ICC Ameircas RDO, as the need to expose more coaches to higher standards and expose them to more recent methodligies.

When asked why Florida, Mathew Betsey Cricket Australia global programme manager, said. "Over the last 12 months there has been significant interest in Cricket Australia coach education programs from across the America's Region. It's a great opportunity to be in Fort Lauderdale and to be able to link with International cricket and link to other US sports like baseball and football".

Cricket Australia has a vision to be Australia's Favourite Sport and we want to show leadership across world cricket. Conducting a High Performance Coaches course in the Americas region is one way we can provide opportunities for coaches to develop - this leads to the development of elite cricketers across the region and enhances the quality of the cricket experience for players.

"The course has already challenged the candidates to be leaders in the region and we have started to identify how the passion and raw talent from the region can be complimented by the structures, planning and evidence based research used in the Australian system".
