Cricket IT Workshop in Antwerp

A number of European cricket administrators gathered in Antwerp recently for a Web Forum with the aim of considering the various uses of IT in cricket.

Organised by John Elder of Ultsterweb, ECC's Webmaster, the two day conference had a number of themes including cricket statistic databases, mobile cricket IT, tutorials on the Duckworth/Lewis method, and digital image processing. Discussion also took place on the National Website project being developed for member countries by ECC and John Elder, together with associated content and tournament management systems.

The group will continue as an online forum to share information, ideas and discuss new developments to keep up to date with cricket related IT opportunities.

Information on new National Board websites and ECC funding have been sent to all main contacts and the hope is that many countries will take up this option.
