Another tip was to get strapped up when mowing a rocky lawn to avoid any discomfort caused from flying rocks. When you’re done with helping around the house those pads might come in handy for a nap, serving as a decent replacement for pillows.

A cricket bat might come in handy elsewhere, whether it be getting rid of any creepy-crawlies, or reaching for things that might be out of your grasp. For example, you can use it to reset the smoke detector in your kitchen – "for the sheer laziness factor where it's easier to drag the cricket bat from where ever it is than to find some place safe to stand on".
