Cusack stars in Ireland XI's win
Ireland XI's build up to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 continued with a second consecutive win over an Invitational X1 on the India tour on Friday. Ireland XI registered a comprehensive 218-run win at the Poona Club in Pune.
Ireland XI batted first and made 301 for 9 off 49.1 overs with Alex Cusack top scoring on 100 not out and Hamish Marshall, the ex-New Zealand batsman weighing in with 72.
Having set the Invitational XI a tough target, Ireland XI made short work of their reply, bowling them out for only 83 with Alan Eastwood weighing in with 3 for 29 off his seven overs.
Ireland XI won the first game by a narrow margin of two wickets against the same side on Thursday.
Ireland will stay in India until 22 November as part of the build-up and will have two more games against Invitational sides before their return.
