England defeated South Africa by six wickets

Reduced to 35 overs a side, players and the crowd scattered at Bert Sutcliffe Oval were teased as a second band of rain passed through just as action was set to commence at midday local time.

Sending the Proteas in to bat, Heather Knight's side made the most of the friendly conditions when play eventually started, taking early wickets and preventing any likelihood of a competitive total.

Laura Wolvaardt was claimed by Katherine Brunt without a run to her name, as Lara Goodall fell at the other end to Anya Shrubsole for 11.

Captain Sune Luus was also captured by Shrubsole, who finished with figures of 2/18 from seven overs.

Charlie Dean (0/17 from two overs) was the only bowler to go at over five-an-over, as South Africa were left to pick up the pieces at 47/5.

Marizanne Kapp battled through to make a half-century, joined by Chloe Tryon (27) in a partnership of 65.

Tryon fell in the 31st over to Nat Sciver, and the wicket spoiled any late-innings fireworks. Kapp fell in the penultimate over to Sophie Ecclestone, the third of her wickets in a spell of 3/23 (7).

England looked in control for most of their reply, even after the loss of Lauren Winfield-Hill in the fifth over to Ayabonga Khaka for 14.

Khaka would go on to claim Heather Knight soon after, though the English cruised thanks to Tammy Beaumont and Sciver.

Beaumont (35) fell to Masabata Klaas, though Sciver retired not out for 33 to make way for Danni Wyatt to gain match practice.

Amy Jones made a start of 20, though fell to Nonkululeko Mlaba before Wyatt (11*) and Dunkley (18*) wrapped up the chase.

Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by seven runs (DLS)

Play was inevitably affected at Lincoln Green, as players ran off the field in the fourth over of proceedings.

The match was reduced to 42 overs a side, and Bismah Maroof's side escaped an early squeeze to post 199/7.

The skipper helped the cause with an innings of 32, helping Javeria Khan (44) in a partnership of 73.

Fariha Trisna (3/40) helped her World Cup chances with the three wickets, and Ritu Moni collected three of her own with figures of 3/35 (9).

Moni was the destroyer in the middle overs, taking all three in a Pakistan collapse of 3/9.

Aliya Riaz and Omaima Sohail were smart in Pakistan's rebuild, to set Bangladesh a score of over 200 with the DLS adjustment.

Fargana Hoque's 71 was the rock of Bangladesh's reply, though she lost partners throughout the journey, and momentum was never found.

A 49-run partnership with Rumana Ahmed (30) gave the Bangladesh side hope of chasing the target down, though Pakistan appeared a step ahead in the final stages. Nashra Sundhu and Fatima Sana claimed seven wickets between them as Bangladesh were bowled out in the final over.
